what's truly baffling to me is that in an attempt to not be gay, the mcu made steve and bucky really fucking gay. while in reality i adore peggy carter and i'm a pegstevebuckysam truther (don't worry about it, it's complicated), ca:tfa really sets up steve and bucky's relationship far more than it sets up steve and peg's. and then they continued it in ca:tws and spent every movie since then backpedaling. not to mention how captain america: civil war was supposed to focus more on bucky.
